Algebra and Logic
I never did well in school. My grades were on the average except for English which was consistently excellent. I was a frequent test subject of guidance counselors for underachievers. Almost every year, they asked me take cognitive test that I always pass with flying colours, proving that I am not retarded. It took them quite a while to figure out that I simply have problems with taking tests from some traumatic childhood experience that I do not even recall. Another finding was I have an attitude problem with teachers. If I do not like them I will simply stop paying attention and barely make it alive at the end of the semester.
I never believed in tutors and I am staunch believer in self study. Sometimes though, when you are so behind on the lessons, you need homework help. No matter how hard you try to catch up, there is just too many math problems to go through. From fractions to algebra, you can always use the help you can get to try catch up and get a decent grade. Help comes in different forms, it may be a classmate, a friend or the congenial world wide web. They all worked for me. I passed all the required math courses in uni.
